Regal Mattress Factory

Regal started under the name of Commercial Bedding Supplies in 1998 operating out of one store in Braeside, Victoria. Our company’s dedication in meeting customer needs ensured that referrals steadily grew the business. This strategy has become the cornerstone our success and ensures that without fancy gimmicks, customers get a bed that truly matches their needs.

Seeing an opportunity in the market, a decision was made to open a manufacturing division and hence the operation became a true factory direct model. With the ‘from our factory to you...why pay retail’ concept succeeding, the business renamed itself Regal Bedding and the stores began trading as Regal Mattress Outlets.

The manufacturing arm of the business continues to wholesale products under the “Serenity” brand to retailers outside of Melbourne, whilst the retail division concentrates solely on customers in Melbourne and stocks only the “Regal” brand.

Whilst offering prices that are on average 30% less than our competitors SALE prices, Regal’s original strategy of really listening to customers needs and matching their requirements to a quality Australian made mattress, is still what drives the business today. As such, sales have grown steadily over the years and in early 2007 the factory and Head Office located to larger premises in Cheltenham, Victoria and several new stores have been opened, including our first franchise.

2007 also saw the implementing of a new ongoing formal training programme for our retail team, ensuring their knowledge was the best in the industry. We also began rolling out best-practice retailing systems and procedures in our company owned stores and franchised outlets which enables us to pass on further savings to our customers.

In 2008 we continued to grow with more stores and launched several Melbourne-wide advertising campaigns including our first TV campaign and our first Catalogue sale. Our product range also developed further and we now offer mattresses from the very basic to the most luxurious (and everything in between) at prices the others can’t match. We also changed our ‘4 night swap out promise’ to a ‘7 night satisfaction guarantee’ because the quality of our mattresses and skill of our retail team ensures that the vast majority of our customers purchase the right mattress for their needs.

Later in 2008 we again moved our factory to even larger premises in Noble Park. 2 moves in 2 years - now that really is a company on the move!

2009 saw us adopting a new slogan - Regal Mattress Outlets, Australia's sleep saver! We chose this because we feels it represents what we aim to do and that is, save Australian's from poor and expensive sleep. It also identifies us a a true Australian company. We hope you like it.At Regal we stand by all our products because we truly believe that we make Australia’s best mattresses. Coupled with our highly trained staff, we know we will find the perfect mattress for our customers, no matter what their budget is.

Our growth is about constantly evolving to meet our customer’s needs and we look forward to many years of success built on selling a great night’s sleep to all our customers. We hope to welcome you in one of our stores soon because at Regal, we ARE Australia's sleep saver!
